We have been asked to turn this 40 square metre former cattle shed into an office suite, complete with interior courtyard garden. Here are a couple of recent, and differing, paving projects. We have an example of staggered standard precast brick paving with raised timber planters surrounded by an American style 1.8 metre lattice topped cedar fence. Then we have a good example of ‘mint’ hued Indian sandstone. Read more »

Decks are back. Decks got a bad rap during the boom when anyone who figured they knew one end of a hammer from the other was having a crack at building them. With predictably ugly results. Here is a nice, compact play structure we just finished in a small back garden in West Dublin. Access is by means of a ladder and climbing wall, the upper platform is spacious, incorporates in-built shelving and can be safely used by several children at once. Here is a nice project recently completed. It consisted of an expansive area of paving abutting the building framed by handrail and a nice wide pergola. A rough, unused area was transformed into an inviting, intimate entertainment space. Read more »
